Useful information

  • Small class sizes (10-12 clients) to ensure everyone gets support, supervision and correction.

  • Men and women,  all body sizes welcome. I believe everyone should do Pilates exercises. Prior to starting class, clients must complete an enrolment form to document their  Pilates/ fitness background and to screen for health problems/injuries. This will assess your suitability to exercise, and is mandatory for my insurance with Body Control Pilates.

  • A one to one session is encouraged before joining a class.

  • Pilates classes to suit all abilities. Anna teaches the Body Control Pilates Method. You will learn about and practice good alignment, breathing and centring (core stability). The challenge will gradually increase week on week. Pilates is a journey, start yours here! Anyone, can do Pilates exercises, but it is how you do them that matters. We focus on movement quality to ensure your sessions are safe and effective. Progression and regressions are always available in order to work at your own pace/ability.

  • I am restricted by my insurance to 12 clients per class. Block booking encourages client commitment and progressing together as a class. In terms of my insurance, and the enrolment form process, I must know who is coming to class each week. Block booking also allows me the pleasure of getting to know my clients personally, and to learn how they move. Your space is reserved each week guaranteed. You will receive more supervision and support in a smaller classes, which reduces the risk of injury and helps you understand the exercises.  You will only get the wonderful benefits of Pilates if you practice regularly and do the exercises well. I am very proud of the supportive, friendly and non -competitive community we have created with these classes.
